More than 500,000 refugees living in Kenya's Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps are set to benefit after the Republic of Korea donated 10,000 metric tonnes of milled rice to the World Food Programme (WFP). The humanitarian donation, valued at USD 9.53 million, comes at a critical time as funding cuts continue to reduce food assistance for vulnerable refugee populations. The rice consignment was officially handed over in Mombasa during a ceremony attended by Principal Secretary for Immigration and Citizen Services Dr. Belio Kipsang, WFP Kenya Country Director Betty Ka, and the Republic of Korea's Ambassador to Kenya, Kang Hyung-shik.
