Detectives in Samburu have arrested a 20-year-old man linked to a violent robbery in Maralal town. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspect was part of a gang that stormed a local shop armed with an AK-47 rifle. During the incident, the robbers posed as customers before threatening the cashier. In a moment of bravery, the cashier pushed the gun aside, but a shot was fired, grazing her chest and leaving her with a soft tissue injury. She was treated at Samburu County Referral Hospital and later discharged in stable condition. The attackers escaped with Ksh50,000.
