Roots leader Wajackoyah unveils party candidate for Magarini, urges IEBC to safeguard vote integrity

The Roots Party has called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to ensure free and fair by-elections across the country. Speaking after the unveiling of the party’s candidate for the Magarini constituency by-election, the party leadership, led by Professor George Wajackoyah, has said voters will lose confidence in the process if the polls are marred by irregularities. They have noted that some of the by-elections are being held due to what the party terms as the commission’s past negligence, and therefore urge IEBC to exercise greater accountability this time around.
