Ruai widow faces eviction from matrimonial home, police officers confronted by angry mob

There was drama in Ruai, Nairobi, after police officers, accompanied by a bulldozer, moved in to enforce a court order seeking to evict a widow and her children from their matrimonial home. The widow, Alice Wanjiru, says she has lived on the property for more than 34 years and only lost her husband, Frank Bob Muigai, last year. She now questions how an eviction order could be executed without her knowledge of the court proceedings.
