Ruto attacks opposition, calls them “foolish”

In an apparent escalation of low-road political discourse, President William Ruto today fired a fresh barrage of insults on opposition leaders, calling them ‘foolish’ and ‘useless’; and referring to a male opposition leader as an aspirant for the position of county woman rep. Speaking at campaign rallies in Migori and Homa Bay counties today, President Ruto also accused his former deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, of murdering a blogger, asking the former DP to apologize to the family of the slain blogger. As Emmanuel too now reports, the president maintains he will not back down on attacks, saying the opposition started it.
