Ruto fires contractor over shoddy road work in Kisii

President William Ruto has ordered the immediate removal of a contractor from a road project site in Nyaribari Chache constituency, Kisii county, accusing him of incompetence and deliberate delays that have stalled service delivery. The project, awarded in 2018 and launched by Ruto during his tenure as deputy president, remains incomplete years later, sparking frustration among residents. In a firm directive, the president instructed the contractor to vacate the site with immediate effect, paving the way for a new contractor to take over and fast-track completion of the road.
