Ruto outlines 2026 crackdown on alcohol and drugs in bid to transform Kenya

President William Ruto has reiterated his plan to transform Kenya to first world status beginning next year, saying the journey will kick off in earnest in 2026. The president who gave his new year message address in Eldoret pointed out alcohol and drug abuse as key impediments to the journey of transforming Kenya declaring a national crackdown on abusers in 2026.
