President William Ruto has publicly addressed a letter written to him by family members of the late Nyeri governor James Nderitu Gachagua. Addressing worshippers after a church service at AIC Kongoni in Naivasha on Palm Sunday, Ruto assured that he would restore the property they allege they were fraudulently disinherited of by a brother to the deceased, including Olive Gardens and Vipingo Beach Resort. The former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who was a brother to the late Nyeri Governor, has since weighed in, accusing the President of seeking to settle political scores by preying on the family and leveraging an inheritance question that was settled by the courts.
