President William Ruto has cautioned Kenyan youth against misusing the newly launched NYOTA Fund on unproductive activities such as romance and alcohol. Speaking at the Mumias Sports Complex in Kakamega County on Friday, November 7, 2025, during the official launch of the program, Ruto urged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to empower themselves and create sustainable employment opportunities. He reminded the youth that the NYOTA Fund is a loan financed by the World Bank, which the government must repay, and therefore, accountability and responsibility are key.
