Senate committee calls for action against counties over fund losses

The Senate's county public accounts committee has recommended stringent measures for counties that have failed to answer audit queries raised by the Auditor General on their financial expenditures. The Moses Kajwang-led committee has recommended that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission move in to immediately begin investigations into alleged loss of public funds in various counties.
