SENATE ENERGY COMMITTEE BACKS BONDO NUCLEAR PLANT, DEMANDS SAFEGUARDS AND FAIR COMPENSATION

The Senate Energy Committee has backed the proposed nuclear power plant in Bondo, Siaya County, while calling for strict safeguards to protect local residents and landowners. Speaking during a committee sitting in Bondo, Chairman William Kisang urged residents to engage with NuPEA and KenGen, while Siaya Senator Dr. Oburu Oginga called for clear plans on nuclear waste, pollution and public health.
