Shakahola victims’ families begin burials as government pledges support with transport and fees

Families of victims of the Shakahola massacre have continued to collect bodies of their loved ones from the Malindi mortuary. Out of 34 bodies, 10 have so far been handed over to families that are now preparing for burial. The government says it will assist the families with the transportation of bodies and waiving of mortuary fees, the burden of conducting burials has remained a challenge.
