SIAYA CLERGY URGE NCIC TO ACT ON RISING POLITICAL TENSIONS AND PREMATURE CAMPAIGNS

Church leaders in Siaya County have called on the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to take urgent action against politicians engaging in premature campaigns and divisive rhetoric. Speaking during a press briefing in Siaya Town, the clerics warned that early political mobilisation and inflammatory statements could heighten tensions and risk a repeat of the violence witnessed during the 2007–2008 post-election crisis.
