SIAYA NURSES STRIKE PARALYSES SERVICES AT PUBLIC HEALTH FACILITIES

Health services in Siaya County have been disrupted after nurses downed their tools, accusing the county government of failing to honour agreements reached with the Kenya National Union of Nurses and Midwives. The nurses, led by KNUN Siaya branch officials, marched through Siaya town before presenting their grievances at the county government headquarters. They cited unpaid salary arrears, delayed statutory deductions, and failure to implement agreed salary increments among their concerns.
