SONY SUGAR FARMERS URGE MPS TO FAST TRACK BUDGET FOR KSH375 MILLION ARREARS

Farmers under the South Nyanza Farmers and Business Community Network are appealing to Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Sugar Belt to fast-track the supplementary budget so they can receive Ksh375 million owed to them by Sony Sugar Company. Speaking to journalists at KNA, South Nyanza Farmers and Business Community Network Chairperson Evans Felix Otieno stated that farmers have suffered for over a year without pay, despite promises from the Ministry of Agriculture.
