Suspect Elvis Opiyo arrested over chemical attack

The suspected mastermind behind the acid attack on Mary Claire has been arraigned in a Nairobi court following his arrest yesterday. New details have now emerged indicating that the suspect, Elvis Opiyo, had previously been reported for allegedly injuring Claire, accusations he denied in court. Opiyo will remain in custody for five days as detectives finalize investigations into the attempted murder that occurred along Ngong Road near Prestige Plaza on Tuesday, March 17. CCTV footage obtained by Citizen TV places the suspect at the scene of the attack.
