The National Taxpayers Association (NTA) has urged stakeholders in the transport sector to refrain from imposing exorbitant fares following the recent fuel price hike. In a statement, the association warned that some matatu operators are exploiting the situation, placing an additional burden on Kenyans already grappling with the high cost of living. Through its Chief Executive Officer, the NTA further called on both public and private sector employers to consider adopting remote work arrangements as a temporary measure to cushion Kenyans from rising transport expenses.
