TVETA shuts down Kenya Institute of Management over accreditation issues

Tens of thousands of Kenya Institute of Management graduates could be just holding worthless papers after the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) declared that all certificates issued by the institution from 2018 are not recognised. The authority also revoked Kim College’s license and ordered the closure of all its 18 branches countrywide. As Emily Chebet reports, the institution has been offering unapproved courses and employing trainers who are not licensed.
