Girls in Kenya still struggle to access quality education compared to their male counterparts. A survey by the Usawa Agenda on gender disparities in education revealed that whereas more girls than boys have enrolled in secondary schools, girls still grapple with inadequate infrastructure, leadership, staffing and sanitation in their schools. The findings underscore the need for targeted policies that address structural biases, improve inclusive infrastructure and promote gender responsive education planning.
