A section of educators and environmentalists in Kilifi County has called on local communities to adopt improved waste disposal practises to prevent disease outbreaks, especially among schoolgoing children. While at a community clean-up initiative in Kilifi town, the group expressed concern over the increasing trend of wanton waste dumping, a practice they warned could lead to the spread of diseases such as cholera.
