The Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) are calling for stricter regulation of the land and built sector to enhance safety, professionalism, and accountability. They have also called for the creation of a regulatory body to monitor institutions offering trainings to ensure quality. ISK President Erick Nyandimo who speaking at the opening of Geospatial and Real estate conference in Mombasa said Kenya is witnessing the increase of individuals purporting to be surveyors who are being used by profiteers to dupe unsuspecting Kenyans to invest in real estate only for them to lose their investment.
