One Person Killed in Murang’a Landslide

One person has died, and hundreds of others have been left homeless following a landslide in Gathungu village in Mathioya, Murang'a County. Mathioya Assistant County Commissioner, Everlyn Matu, said that more than 100 people have been displaced and are being sheltered in safer areas. The incident comes amid caution by the Kenya Meteorological Department that the country is headed for yet another week of heavy rainfall.
