Parliament petitioned to pass laws designed to reduce methane emissions

Parliament has been petitioned to pass legislation designed to reduce methane emissions in the country to curb increase of air pollutants, greenhouse emissions and short-lived climate pollutants in the future. The calls came on Thursday during a dialogue on methane emissions in Kenya where stakeholders sounded the alarm on rising temperatures and increasing climate extremes urging policymakers to act urgently.
