Political Parties Dispute Tribunal Affirms Jurisdiction in Edwin Sifuna Case

The Political Parties Dispute Tribunal has ruled that it has powers to hear and determine a dispute in which Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has challenged his removal as Secretary General of Orange Democratic Movement. The ruling by the Chairperson Gad Gathu comes after lawyers representing the Orange Democratic Movement argued that Sifuna’s application to the Tribunal was premature since Internal Dispute Resolution Mechanisms had already been initiated by the party.
