President William Ruto has given the Ministry of Education two months to fully digitize the records of learners, teachers and schools to enhance accountability and curb loss of funds through ghost learners and non-existent schools. Speaking at the opening of the 2nd National Education Conference in Naivasha, Ruto also defended the use of the e-Citizen platform for school fee payments instead of cash transactions to enforce for transparency and traceability.
