Kisumu governor Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o has put on notice developers in the lakeside county flouting statutory construction guidelines, warning of personal responsibility if found culpable. The warning follows a Monday evening incident where a six-storey building under construction partially collapsed, leaving one person with injuries. The National Construction Authority has also directed that construction of any kind must be registered for routine inspection to avert similar incidents.
