The growing threat of mis-information,fake news and manipulation of online content took center stage Wednesday as the 2026 Pan African Media Summit kicked off in Nairobi. Addressing the delegates, Broadcasting and Telecommunications Principal Secretary Stephen Isaboke said Africa must urgently strengthen information integrity systems to protect democracy, public confidence and credibility in the digital era.
