Donkey numbers in the country have recorded a significant rise over the last five years, following stricter government measures aimed at curbing theft and illegal slaughter of the animals. This was said during World Donkey Day celebrations held in Enkorika village, Kajiado Central Sub-County, where farmers benefited from a free mass vaccination and animal welfare sensitization exercise.
