Several businesses stationed in the City of Nairobi are counting losses after what began as a peaceful demonstrations spiralled into lawlessness and looting. Businesses in parts of downtown parts of the city from the Tom Mboya Street, Koja area and the central Bus Station were attacked by youthful demonstrators. Some, armed with crude weapons, were seen smashing store fronts to gain access to the show wares turning the heart of Nairobi into a chaotic zone.
