President William Ruto accuses opposition of plotting Government overthrow

In a charged reaction to the recent events around the Saba Saba protests that saw the killing of at least 31 Kenyans, President William Ruto today spoke tough, saying enough is enough. The president claimed that there is an attempt by the opposition to overthrow his government, saying he will go after alleged coup plotters whom he did not name. The president who spoke in Nairobi also issued a 'shoot-in-the-leg' order to the police to deal with looters destroying property during demonstrations.
