Embu county Government in partnership with a nongovernmental organization to empower 29 youth groups in the county with an aim of driving climate action initiatives in the region.The Youth Climate Action Fund launched by Governor Cecily Mbarire is designed to equip young people with the resources to spearhead innovative solutions to the adverse effects of climate change which include disrupted agricultural cycles, water shortages, and environmental degradation. The Youth who benefited from the funds lauded the governor for the initiative noting they will have an opportunity to be involved in climate resilience efforts.
