Bahati constituency witnessed an unusual gathering on Friday as more than 5,000 men came together to confront rising cases of gender based violence.
The meeting, dubbed the Bahati Men’s Conference, focused on mental health struggles linked to family pressures and the silence many men maintain while facing them.
The forum, gave men space to talk openly about the pressures that often spill into violence.
Residents who attended admitted the discussions were overdue, pointing to substance abuse and economic frustrations as drivers of crime and domestic conflict.
