Floods displace hundreds in Nairobi’s Mukuru Kwa Njenga

More than 500 families in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums in Nairobi are counting heavy losses, with some forced out of their homes after a pounding downpour triggered widespread flooding. The rains also paralysed transport across several roads in the city, leaving motorists stranded in massive traffic snarl-ups.
