Founder and Executive Director of the Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network Global (GCSAYN) Ntiokam Divine from Cameroon has tipped Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) students to be climate justice ambassadors by planting trees in their Nakuru City-based institution.

He says he was impressed that RVIST was on the frontline to protect the environment through its leadership as the world commemorates the 50th World Environment Day. He told the students that there is no sustainable development without sustainable peace and environment.

RVIST Principal Sammy Chemoiwa said the institution was planning to plant 20,000 trees in the institution in line with Kenya’s commitment to plant 15 billion trees to achieve 30 per cent tree cover by 2032.
