Victims of the 2024 and 2025 Gen Z anti-government protests, alongside families of those killed, have rejected the proposed three million shillings compensation, terming it inadequate. They demand a minimum of five million shillings for every life lost or person who disappeared and remains unaccounted for. They are also calling on President William Ruto to issue a public apology and guarantee that such human rights violations will never happen again, warning they will reject the compensation package if these demands are not met.
