First Lady praises critical role plaed by NGO's

4,779 Civil society groups were deregistered over the last year. The public benefit organisations sector report for 2024/25 shows that the organisations were delisted for violating the PBO Act and the codes of conduct. During the year under review, six organisations were dissolved or wound up. Speaking during the launch of the report at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, First Lady Rachel Ruto said the new regulatory environment will restore integrity in the sector.
