Government hints at merging day schools with low enrollment

The Ministry of Education has hinted at plans to merge some day secondary schools with low enrolment as part of efforts to improve access to quality education. Speaking during the elimu mashinani forum in Nairobi on Tuesday evening, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba said the ministry will audit transition numbers in senior schools with a view to merging institutions recording persistently low enrolment.
