Governor Kilonzo urges Treasury to release funds to counties

Makueni governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. has urged the government to release funds to the counties. Kilonzo said the delay in releasing the funds to county governments has hampered delivery of services including giving scholarships to needy students. Mutula emphasizing the urgency of addressing the situation, stating that the diversion of funds from other departments is a temporary solution. He warned that without timely intervention, the government might not achieve the 100% transition to secondary school due to financial constraints faced by millions of parents across the country.
