GOVERNOR NASSIR BOOSTS TALENT DEVELOPMENT AS MOMBASA SCHOOLS HEAD TO NATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL
Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir has pledged to promote holistic education in the county by nurturing students’ talents and leadership skills.
Speaking during the flag-off of 28 schools travelling to Meru County for the National Music Festival, Governor Nassir presented a cheque worth Sh2.5 million to support the institutions.
The festival will be taking place at Meru School and Kaaga Girls under the theme ‘enhancing creative economy through artistic expression for sustainable development’
“When I was a student, going for these trips was a very special thing because there was a lot of excitement among the learners,” recalled the Governor, noting that some students were locked out because of financial constraints.
