Homa Bay Combined are the winners of the first edition of the Owalo Super Cup after beating hosts Kisumu Combined 4-2 in post-match penalties at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo, Kisumu County. The match ended in a barren draw in regular time and had to be decided by penalties. Homa bay converted four of their penalties while Kisumu converted only two. Homa bay walked away with the trophy and four hundred thousand shillings while Kisumu received 300 000 shillings. The inaugural edition of the tournament involved four counties, Migori, Siaya, Kisumu and Homa Bay.
