IEBC fines two Kasipul by-election candidates over violence that left two dead

The independent electoral and boundaries commission has fined two candidates in the Kasipul parliamentary by-election one million shillings each for violating the electoral code of conduct. Independent candidate Philip Aroko and ODM candidate Boyd Were, were found guilty of violating the electoral code of conduct by causing chaos, leading to the death of two people and scores injured. The IEBC further directed the two candidates to uphold peace; failure to which they will be disqualified
