IEBC pledges to ensure more kenyans vote in the diaspora

    The Independent electoral and boundaries commission IEBC has announced plans to increase the number of countries where kenyans will participate in next years general election from 12 to 26. Speaking when he appeared before the National Assembly diaspora affairs and migrant workers committee, IEBC acting CEO Ledama Sunkuli said the commission requires 400 million shillings to enlist the new voters. The additional countries include, Saudi Arabia, Botswana, Oman, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland , Netherlands, Ghana, Italy, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Nigeria, Ireland, Türkiye, Ethiopia, China and Mozambique.
