JSC appeals decision suspending proceedings against judges

    The Judicial Service Commission has challenged High Court JUDGMENT that suspended the Commission from presiding over disciplinary proceedings against judges. The JSC was suspended from processing petitions in the absence of officially gazetted guidelines. As seth Olale reports the Law Society of Kenya and the Senior Counsel Bar have faulted the High Court decision, arguing that JSC is constitutionally mandated to discharge the function of disciplinary proceedings against judicial officers.
