Kenya has Endorsed COP 28 President designate Sultan Al Jaber Amidst Protests by Pan African Climate Civil Societies to have him step down from the position citing conflict of interests. Al Jaber who attended the Opening of the Africa Energy Forum at the KICC, Nairobi Kenya before meeting various Climate Change stakeholders on Tuesday Evening said he will remain focused on delivering a fruitful COP 28 despite opposition from the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance. The Group of Civil Societies who spoke at a parallel meeting after snubbing Al Jaber’s invite to have common ground talks in regards to th outcome of the 28th United Nations Conference of Parties on Climate Change (COP 28) which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates November this year, said they are challenging his leadership based on the fact that he is leading one of the largest oil producing companies in UAE which contributes to air pollution
