Kenya’s leaders would struggle under strict system like Singapore — Wandeto

Tetu Member of Parliament Geoffrey Wandeto has warned that Kenya’s political leadership would not survive under a strict governance system like Singapore’s, citing weak institutions and rampant corruption. Speaking on a local TV talk show on December 16, 2025, Wandeto said Kenya lacks the political will and institutional strength to enforce accountability, especially within Parliament, which has surrendered its independence and become reluctant to question the Executive.
