Machakos County to start reclamation of riparian land

The Machakos County Government has issued a notice to residents who have settled and developed on riparian land, directing them to vacate immediately before their structures are demolished. According to the county, the demolitions are part of corrective measures to open up waterways and prevent flooding, which has repeatedly affected areas such as 360, Kicheko, and Kincar.
