The National Assembly committee on environment and mining has implored on the state department of mining to make use of the enhanced budgetary allocation to transform the sector and make it a top foreign exchange earner. Committee chairperson David Gikaria says the government increased the allocation to the sector from 186 million shillings to 4 billion shillings, showing a lot of commitment to the industry which can now make a turn around.
