Nyeri archdiocese Archbishop Anthony Muheria has called on the country’s leadership to use this easter season to reflect on their current political behavior, having failed the electorate in so many fronts since assuming office four years ago. Speaking after leading Easter Sunday mass at the Consolata Cathedral in Nyeri, Muheria expressed concern over the increased use of Pulpits by the same leaders to spew hatred and create division in the Country, Urging Kenyans to remain steadfast in ensuring the country going forward gets better representation. "We as a country is a day of hope, a day we know that even though our leadership may have disappointed us. Even though we have seen the very lowest level in our leadership, that there is hope that God can change. That they can be touched. That we can dare pray and change the direction of pour nation. That God can nurture new leaders..Sometimes we have seen even in our country where people pretend to be God. People want God’s spaces, demand God’s spaces just like Caesar, like Herod, they demand to crush God. But no, God is not crushed. Jesus rises. So it’s a hope. It’s a moment of compassion from the top to the least"
