The Ogiek community has renewed its full call for the implementation of the court rulings recognizing their ancestral land rights in the Mau Forest. Speaking during the World Environment Day commemoration, community leaders urged the government to fast–track compensation and restitution measures, saying the community has endured decades of displacement despite legal victories.
