Police arrest 170 suspected goons over disruption of Kitale drive-in event

Police in trans Nzoia County have arrested 170 suspects following last Saturday’s incident in Kitale, where alleged hired goons disrupted a youth voter registration drive under the NIKO Kadi initiative, paralysing business in the town. This comes as Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen announced that the national police service has revised its curriculum to address emerging threats, including crowd control and goons, accusing some politicians of recruiting youth into gangs to cause chaos.
